All contracts of sale are bound by the following rules unless expressly acknowledged and agreed by both seller and buyer in writing.
Unless otherwise agreed, payment on order is assumed.
We act on your instructions, we assume you have obtained any necessary permissions, permits or licences.
Title for the goods only passes to the buyer once payment is received in full. Risk passes to the buyer on delivery or collection (including third parties and couriers). For buyers with a balance on goods that go out of business, go into liquidation or appoint receivers, we may without prejudice to any other rights or remedies recover possession of the goods and sell them to recover our losses.
Any price quoted by the Seller or comprised in the order of contract is provisional only and will be varied according to the Seller's scale of prices at the date of dispatch of goods or of each consignment thereof. Each part delivery or instalment of the goods will be deemed to be sold under a separate contract.
All quotations are subject to availability of goods and expire after 14 days. We reserve the right to withdraw or amend any quotation based on the availability or condition of stock. Eg. If we find we have damaged stock that is not saleable we reserve the right to withdraw this item from sale/quotation or offer an alternate item.
Acceptance of all orders and contracts is subject to the availability of the goods specified and all offers are made without engagement regarding delivery.
All goods bought online and returned in satisfactory resale condition within 14 days will be eligible for full refund unless otherwise stated on the product description. After this period only goods found to be defective by the seller will be refunded or replaced. Please note some items are bought in specifically for the customer and are non-returnable unless faulty. Once ordered you are contractually obliged to accept these items.
Supplied or installed goods found to be defective within 1 year (2-years for Yale & 3-years for Hikvision products) of purchase will be dealt with by means of replacement or repair as deemed appropriate by the seller. We cannot be held responsible for any damage or injuries caused by defective goods. Refunds are not given for goods that work within manufacturers operating parameters.
Defects in quality or dimensions are not grounds for cancellation of the remainder of the order or contract. No claims for damage, loss or partial loss can be accepted unless written notice is received within three days of delivery.
Goods which are not deemed by the seller to be defective will only be accepted at the sellers discretion and we retain the right to charge a restocking fee of 20%. Customers are fully liable for all items they order. Services such as installation or part thereof are not subject to refund.
Payment for all goods is required before they are despatched. Orders that include an installation element will require payment on completion of the installation.
All new goods are subject to manufacturer's guarantees only. Reconditioned and second hand goods cannot be guaranteed.
All installation work is deemed to be accepted as correct and in accordance with customers wishes once final payment is made. Any subsequent requests for alterations or "changes of mind" after this will attract a call out fee of no less than £75. This includes (but is not limited to), camera re-alignment, sensor relocation, programming additional features, adding keyfobs, removing spiders & webs, cleaning cameras and plugging cables back in that have fiddled with!
As part of our normal business process we hold enough information about you to process your order and give after sales customer service.
This data includes your company (if applicable), name, address, telephone number, email address and any details you share with us regarding your specific needs or requirements (which we refer to as "Notes").
Personal data such as web traffic logs and website access are kept for 3 months to guard against malicious website access and will include your IP address and access time. As per just about any other service you use on the internet!
We do not share any data with any third parties or sub-contractors as we have no need to do so.
No credit card or payment details are held by us. Cards are processed at point of sale and payments made by transfer are retained within the standard banking infrastructure. Payments made by other means eg. Paypal, will be covered by thier GDPR guidelines.
To prevent password "leaking", any passwords you use on our site are salted and hashed (which means we don't ever save your actual password, just a mathematical way to prove you entered the same password that you originally setup). This means if we ever had a data breach, your password could not be recovered and tried on other services. Imagine that!!
If you require a copy of your data or have a problem with what we hold, just drop us a message and we will contact you to make this available.
Under the new GDPR rules, you have the right to be informed, access, rectify, request erasure, restrict use of, object to, to opt out of data profiling and to have data portability. Basically you have the right to see your data, have it corrected if its wrong. If you don't want us to hold it any more we can delete it (although you'd probably want to keep a copy for warranty purposes!). In addition if you don't want your data used for any specific profiling purposes, you have that right also.
Lastly you have the right to data portability which coveres sending your data to a third party by automated means. But we don't send any data to third parties so this doesn't apply.
